The Importance of Food and Health Illnesses
Every health related occurrence I’ve had has been worsened or alleviated through the food I’ve consumed. For example, when I learned of how Omega-3’s (EPA & DHA) aid in brain development/recovery following a concussion I saw a decrease in the usual, prolonged symptoms. I was able to recover quicker and function easier compared to other concussions I’d had.
For the past 7 years, I’ve been passionate about different alternative medicines and the effects of food on the human body. Specifically, how food and medications affect psychological and physiological states. It’s been my main focus to decrease the amount of chronic inflammation within my body. Acute inflammation occurs organically with infections, scrapes or bruises. It’s essential for everyday functioning. Yet chronic inflammation within the body is commonly overlooked. Chronic inflammation within humans is one of the leading causes to many well-studied illnesses. (IBS, arthritis, allergies, asthma, etc.)
In the next few months I will be covering extensively the techniques I’ve developed through years of practical application. You’ll be able to see the specific foods and recipes you can use to reduce inflammation. Rather than being mostly theoretical, I aim to provide people with the tools they need to help them get onto the path for optimal wellness. Real food, real results.
